Photographs may hold a memory in time, but videos play out a moment continuously. Murphy Studio, a photojournalistic wedding videographer, films your wedding day like a friendly fly on the wall, thoughtful and unseen. From the tremble in your voice as you read your vows to one another, to the chorus of laughter and tears from the father of the bride speech, to your first dance together to “your song” - I’ll be filming.
Anytime you replay your wedding video, you’ll feel all the emotion of the day hit you once again in real time. The final film will capture a day filled with smiles, tears, and dance moves of the ones you love - your friends, family, and the two of you together.
Working with Alan is always a pleasure. He took the time to understand what I was looking for and then carefully directed and adjusted the shoot to make sure that the end result exceeded expectations. His light hearted nature and warm presence made it easy for me to feel comfortable and relaxed which is really the key to capturing a good headshot. The experience was easy and fun and I look forward to shooting with him again.
You’re looking for lifestyle photography that tells the story of your love and life in milestones. Whether it’s a proposal, engagement, anniversary or family session, Murphy Studio is here for you. So reach out with an email stating what type of lifestyle photography session you’re looking for and you’ll be answered with information on packages and details specific to you.
From there, we can hop on a call and discuss dates, location, and how you want your photoshoot to stand out to be the most “you” it can be. If you have any extra questions or creative ideas, we can always meet for coffee to talk things out (this is especially recommended if you’re planning a surprise proposal.)
After you’ve booked a headshot session, you’ll receive an in-depth guide to help prepare you for a successful photoshoot. This guide will cover all the necessary details like the location and time as well as helpful tips and tricks to help you look your best in front of the camera.
Feel free to ask any questions about the guide, timeline, or anything regarding the photoshoot at this time. More than anything, I want you to feel both prepared and comfortable walking onto set day-of, and that starts with asking the right questions.
Plan to arrive at the studio 15-20 minutes early in order to get into the groove. There will be music playing, refreshments available for you to fuel up on, and a queue of other business professionals, actors, or veterans waiting to get their headshot taken that you can chat with. This is a great time to observe how people are posing in front of camera so you know what to expect when it’s your turn.
Once it’s your turn, we’ll position you in front of camera for 15 minutes of shooting. You’ll be completely taken care of, with plenty of direction and poses that best fit the vibe you’re looking to give off. Then we break mid-shoot in order for you to review your photos and discuss what you’d like to do in the next set of frames.
You also have the option for a quick outfit change if you like at this time. When you’re ready, we’ll resume for another 15 minutes of shooting (which by this point, you’ll be an absolute pro) and then call it a day.
After the photoshoot, you’ll receive a set of 10-15 proofs for you to review. Pick your favorites from the lineup (about 2-3) and they’ll be edited to your liking. Within 2-3 weeks, you’ll receive the digital prints of your headshots online. From there, you can immediately add them to your LinkedIn, company website, or personal website.
